Who Killed the Electric Car? trailer

GM just stated that they will restart the electric car ... is it just similar to what they have done 10 years ago? Saying it and then killing it 'cos of the so-called battery problem (they just complain about this again this time) and not-enough-demand (ya, of course no one wants to drive a 125-mile range car). Take a look at the video, you will know better.

I didn't realize this is only the trailer, Google Video must have removed the "original full-length" version due to copyright issue. Oh well ...

It was among the fastest, most efficient production cars ever built. It ran on electricity, produced no emissions and catapulted American technology to the forefront of the automotive industry. The lucky few who drove it never wanted to give it up. So why did General Motors crush its fleet of EV1 electric vehicles in the Arizona desert?

WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR? chronicles the life and mysterious death of the GM EV1, examining its cultural and economic ripple effects and how they reverberated through the halls of government and big business.

WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR? is not just about the EV1. It’s about how this allegory for failure—reflected in today’s oil prices and air quality—can also be a shining symbol of society’s potential to better itself and the world around it. While there’s plenty of outrage for lost time, there’s also time for renewal as technology is reborn in WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?

"Ebi nigiri" shrimp with cotton rice ... yum yum ....

Was just browsing some thread talking about these "vibrating" boyfriend pillow (and how the pillow steals away your girlfriend), and of course for the lonely boys out there, there is also the girlfriend pillow. But dang, what are these sushi pillow for then? A crazy sushi-lover like me?

The site claims it is one of the most popular items, but who the heck is going to buy this for over 36 bucks? Any geek wanna get this for their girls ...

LiveScience.com - Don't Sit Up Straight

Do you have back pain? I always find it hard to sit 90-degree, and now this apparently is a good news for me, as I do enjoy the 135-degree sitting posture.

RC Plane? Wrong, it's a WASP - a latest spy plane in the sky.

I agree it looks like a plain old paper plane. But don't be fool by that, in fact, one of this thing is going to cost you arm and leg. It is the world-smallest unmanned flying robot help people to spy, especially for soldier to look ahead for any hidden danger.

It can controlled pre-programmed with its GPS. To fully extend its ability, it equipped with forward and side looking cameras. One of the highlight is its thin wing is made out of the lithium battery, makes it much lighter, only 275g.

You like this star ... let me go and pick it for you !

I always find it funny when I hear about how the older generation would say such things to impress girls ... "isn't this a nice star, how about from now on, we name this star to be your name?" ... "it's such a beautiful sky, that star is the brightest ... I'll go up there and pick it for you ... "

Now with this SkyScout, you can no longer name any random stars after any girl's name. You can look thru the viewfinder and the LCD will show you right away the name, radius, mass and even mythology. You could have make up some stories, but now this device will leave you in the dark all by yourself.

Price is set to be around $400 ... a little steep ... but the technology is impressive, built-in GPS so the device knows its location, and with the electric compass it knows the direction it is pointing at, and also an accelerometer detertmines the angle.

Price has been reduced to $38 ... was around $50 few weeks ago.

New Movie - The Bridge

This is an interesting movie and the trailer looks very dark already. It talks about golden gate bridge in San Francisco, CA. I have been through this bridge hundreds of time, and I just can't believe there are hundreds of people had their last footprint here as well.

Changing keyboard ... as it needs to be ...

Think about this, when you hit the "Caps Locks", all your key on the keyboard actually showed you the upper case of the letters. Ops ... I don't look at the keys when I type ... that's the catch, but it'll be so good for any gamers or lazy people who wants one-clicks to start any application.

Each key packs with full-color OLED display that can show icons or characters in any language. And they will change accordingly ... when you play quake, it shows only the equivalent keys and when you're typing chinese, it shows only the "chong kit" .. (it doesn't describe this feature, I'm just guessing it should).

Price not set yet ... available in 2007, I would imagine it costs more than 200 !! Btw, it doesn't has an ergonomic version yet ...
